Elizabeth A. Keel, CPA
Founding and Managing Member

Elizabeth is a 1976 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with over 30 years of national, regional and local accounting experience. Elizabeth’s experience includes serving governments, non profit organizations, closely held businesses, and estates and trusts since graduation.

Elizabeth has served as a member of the board of directors for the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). She is a past president of the Western Chapter of the NCACPA, an AICPA tax section member and a founding member of the NCACPA Work Life Committee. She currently devotes her community service time to a group of national non profit organizations whose purpose is to promote world peace and provide disaster relief.


Sarah M. Washburn
Taxation

Sarah is a native of Lake Lure, North Carolina. She earned a juris doctorate with a specialization in corporate taxation at Washington and Lee University after graduation from Wake Forest. She practiced law with a regional firm here in Asheville before coming to our firm where she provides taxation consultation to closely held businesses and non profit organizations. Sarah volunteers significant time to her community, especially in the areas of land conservation.

L. Kathrine Green, CPA
Accounting & Auditing

Kathrine is a native of Florida, but came to Asheville for a BS in biology. She received her Master of Accounting from the Kenan Flagler School of Business in Chapel Hill and began her accounting career at KPMG in Washington, DC. Katherine has experience with non profits and government. She has worked with both the Department of Commerce and the Financial Guaranty Corporation. Katherine is licensed in both Virginia and North Carolia.

Nancy Scheewe, MEd
Administration

Nancy, a native of Pennsylvania, moved to Asheville with her family in 1991. She holds a Masters in Education from Penn State, a broker’s license and served as headmaster of a Montessori school until accepting a position here in Asheville as assistant to the managing partner of an international advertising firm. Nancy joined Elizabeth in 1994.
